Using AR View to create an AR scene and AR nodes

When you are at a landmark, pressing AR View brings up the augmented reality view for that specific landmark. Each landmark is associated with an AR Scene, which contains AR Nodes. Use the following procedure to create an AR scene with associated AR nodes.

Procedure

  1. With the camera of the mobile device pointed at the physical environment, select the AR View icon. Once the scene is recognized, all existing AR nodes appear on the mobile device screen.
  2. Press the pencil icon in the lower, right corner if the screen. The system then asks you to create or edit an AR node.
  3. Create an AR node.
    1. Press on the screen where the asset is located.
    2. Type a name.

The system queries AMS Optics to determine if a match exists. If a match is found, the AR node and the asset in AMS Optics are associated, allowing you to see the status (Critical, Warning, or Good) of the asset. If a match is not found, a new static AR node is created.

    3. Press Save to save changes that you have made.
  4. After you are done adding AR nodes, press Upload in the upper right corner of the screen.
A cloud icon appears in the lower left corner of the screen as the scene is uploaded in the background.
