Using AR View to search for an AR node

When you press on the AR View icon, the system attempts to recognize the scene based on what the camera sees. If an AR scene already exists for a landmark and the scene is recognized, all existing AR nodes appear on the mobile device screen.
Note:
To aid you in locating a particular AR scene, you can browse a gallery of existing AR nodes at the bottom of the screen. You can search for AR nodes after the AR scene has been recognized.

Use the following procedure to search for an existing AR node in an existing scene.

Prerequisites

Have the camera pointed at the physical environment, before you press the AR View icon.

Procedure

  1. Press the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Start to type in the AR node name.
Because this is a recognized AR scene, the system queries for known AR nodes and displays the AR nodes in a drop-down list.
  3. Select the AR node name that you want to view from the list.
  4. Use the information displayed on the screen to locate the AR node.
After you select an AR node, the system displays indicators to help you locate it. At the top of the screen, the system indicates whether you should turn left or right if the AR node is not currently in direct view. In addition, at the bottom of the screen the system indicates how far away you currently are from the AR node. This distance updates in real-time as you move closer or further from the AR node. Once it is in view, a line appears on the mobile device screen, pointing you directly to the AR node to further assist you in navigating to it.
    Note:
Pay attention to where you are in relation to the physical environment. Do not look at the mobile screen while walking.
