Using the Knowledge feature

At the bottom of the AR mobile app there is an icon for Knowledge that contains a library of practical knowledge that was captured during troubleshooting sessions. This feature is only available for AR+ users.

When you select this option, a listing of folders that you have access to is displayed. These folders contain various knowledge-base items that you can use in the field. These items can consist of files, snippets of instructions on how to resolve certain issues, or digital logic procedures that you may execute in the field.

When you select a folder, you can choose to open a knowledge item to view its contents, or you can select one of four icons directly below the folder.
  • The Star icon enables you to tag this knowledge item as a favorite. You can filter knowledge items on this favorite tag.
  • The Thumbs up icon enables you to vote if you like a particular knowledge item. Using this icon helps promote useful knowledge items for future reference by other users.
  • The Arrow icon enables you to create a standalone memo using a logic procedure or to send the details that you are about to create to an existing ticket. The memo functionality is useful when you need to execute a procedure, want to send details, and do not have network connectivity. After you execute the procedure you can add transaction details, including any data entry, screen captures, or videos, and have the memo sent when network connectivity is available.
  • The ellipsis icon enables you to see the details of the knowledge item such as site, equipment, model, and description.
