Use the Quick Start wizard to create a plant and landmark

Prerequisites

You have clicked Yes on the Welcome dialog after you log in, or you have clicked on QUICK START in the upper right corner of the user interface and then clicked START.

To create a new plant location using the Quick Start wizard.

Procedure

  1. Enter a name in the Plant Name field.
  2. Enter a description of the plant in the Description field.
  3. Perform one of the following steps to designate the location of the plant:
    • Enter the plant address in the Enter your address field.
    • Using your mouse and cursor, point and click on a location in the map to set a plant location.
    You can click the Map or Satellite button to switch between the street view and a satellite imagery view. In addition, you can drag the Pegman icon onto the map to switch to street view.
  4. Click ADD PLANT.
    The New Landmark page appears with the new plant location displayed.
  5. Using your mouse, point to a location on the map and click to add a landmark point on the map.
  6. Enter a name in the Landmark Name field.
  7. Enter a description of the landmark in the Description field.
  8. Click ADD LANDMARK. The Overview tab page appears and the new plant location and landmark are included in the Hierarchy list.
