Add a plant location

Prerequisites

You clicked No on the Welcome dialog after you logged in, or you are currently logged into the AR web portal.

To create a new plant location.

Procedure

  1. Select the Settings icon and then click Plant Configuration.
  2. Click the ADD PLANT button.
  3. Enter a name in the Plant Name field.
  4. Enter a description of the plant in the Description field.
  5. Verify that a AMS Optics server is displayed on the Create a Plant Location dialog.
  6. Perform one of the following steps to designate the location of the plant:
    • Enter the plant address in the Enter your address field.
    • Using your mouse and cursor, point and click on a location in the map to set a plant location.
    You can click the Map or Satellite buttons to switch between a map view and a satellite view. In addition, you can drag the Pegman icon onto the map to switch to street view.
  7. Click ADD PLANT. The Plant Configuration page displays with the new plant location added to the list.
